Employment Opportunity
Our Lady of Hope Preschool is seeking a caregiver for our before and
after-school program. This position helps to plan and implement a healthy,
safe, and appropriate after school environment for children in Preschool –6th
grade. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma
and be willing to obtain necessary training. Hours for this position would be Monday through
Friday from 7 – 8 am and 3 – 5:30 pm. Hours may be negotiable. Interested applicants may

Raffle Ticket Update . . .
First, thank you, all, for your participation in selling raffle tickets! As you know, we are
excited to be a part of this cooperative fundraising effort with our sister and brother
parishioners at St. Roch’s Catholic Church in Connecticut. To date, we have counted $9,500.00 in returned
tickets and monies. If you have sold all of your tickets, please know there are extra tickets in the Parish office.
Please feel free to stop by to pick up more! As a reminder, any unsold tickets will need to be returned by August 1st. The tickets are priced at $25.00 each with 50% of our total ticket sales supporting our renovation project.

Mission and Methods: Basic Catechist Certification
Presented by Peg McEvoy, Vicariate 2 Liaison and Coordinator of Faith and Catechist Formation/OCIA for the
Diocese of Saginaw. This in-person training is for parish catechists and catechetical leaders and will be held on
the following dates and locations:
o Saturday, August 20, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at Good Shepherd Parish, 4476 N. Washington St.,
Ubly. The cost is $20 and includes lunch. Deadline to register is Monday, August 15.
o Saturday, September 24, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the Center for Ministry, 5802 Weiss St.,
Saginaw. The cost is $35 and includes lunch. Deadline to register is Friday, September 16.
o Saturday, October 8, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at St. Michael Parish of Maple Grove, 17994 Lincoln
Rd., New Lothrop. The cost is $20 and includes lunch. Deadline to register is Friday, September 30.
In the morning, we will pray together and explore Jesus’ missionary mandate and what it means for us today
as catechists in the parishes of the Diocese of Saginaw. In the afternoon, we will cover the basics of being a
catechist and explore resources and techniques available to help this beautiful adventure with Jesus and his
