From the Desk of Fr. Peter

Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia! The Lord’s death was not a defeat but a victory! We share in His victory over suffering and death, knowing that life everlasting with Him will be ours. “We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come” (Profession of Faith).

Though our hearts are troubled and in pain with the deadliest pandemic of our life time, we pray that our resurrected Lord will lead us to triumph. Let us keep our eyes on him pleading for mercy and healing of our world. To Him who triumphed over the Cross we bring our pain and suffering with Mary our mother. May He look upon us with mercy.

Keep peace and be peaceful! Like St. Francis, let God make us into his instrument of His glory in the world. We rejoice today in the heroism of Christ who stayed faithful and committed to the voice of the father, may we all remain faithful to God and to our vocations. Though we might be swayed by temptations of different kinds, like Christ let us all stay focused and God will grant us victory. Let not convenient and personal interests replace the call to faithfulness and commitment. As Christ was committed to the end, we too are called to uphold to this all time value. “Remember the word that I have spoken to you: If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also (Jn. 15:18)”.

My prayers with you all. I pray for you everyday and offer your intentions to God at every Mass. Stay safe and peaceful while we wait on God. Keep each other in your prayers and good wishes. Keep up with checking on one another via phone calls, emails, chats, cards and so on. Thanks to you for your financial contribution to help the parish at this time of need to meet our financial obligations.
Thanks to all for your good wishes to me and my family at this time. Thanks for messages sent across. God’s love and Easter joy to you and your loved ones.
