From the Desk of Fr. Peter: (Message 1of 2)

Dear Parishioners good morning and Happy Sunday to you all. I also extend Happy Mothers’ Day wishes to all mothers and women of our parish. Quite unfortunate we are not able to celebrate it together, thanks to this pandemic, but in any case you are all great people with great vocation from God to be mothers. You are so wonderfully loved and cherished by we all your children. Today is a great day of joy to celebrate who you are, what you mean to us and all you do for us. As all vocations from God have a single purpose: being an instrument for God to achieve His goal, I pray that following His purpose will bring you to the joys of heaven in due time.

As we celebrate the 5th Sunday of Easter, I call our attention to the renewal of the invitation to come to Christ as Peter called on us today (1Pet. 2: 4-9), “come to him, a living stone, rejected by human beings but chosen and precious in the sight of God, and like the living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood to offer sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” This invitation was first offered at our baptism to which we have stayed in till date in fulfillment of our baptismal resolutions to renounce satan and his work and accepted to be children of God. Every vocation and invitation has a purpose, and in the case of Christ’s invitation, our purpose then is to follow him in living the will of the father as he will always say: my food is to do the will of him who sent me (Jn. 4: 34). As we are always vulnerable to the challenges of the world, some times we lose focus on our goal as some kids do when they are sent to school to study, the campus environment sway some of them away from the goal and some end up not graduating nor poorly made it through school. Let us always remain focused on our purpose and goal so like Mary and the saints we will share in the joys of life to come. (see message 2 of 2)
