Today, the Church celebrates Mary under the title Stella Maris — Star of the Sea! We’re honored, and humbled, to have such a great Marian title for our Family of Parishes. In the future, we hope to develop festivities and traditions around the feast day. For now, we encourage all our parishioners to learn more about the name Stella Maris.

While you’re at it, take a few minutes to learn some basic history about each of the four parishes that make up Stella Maris.

God Bless,

Stella Maris Communications Team

Stella Maris Sponsorships
Over the past several months we’ve been blessed by the generosity of so many parishioners who have stepped forward to financially sponsor numerous initiatives like the Oct. 22 Marian concert, the Everyday Saints talk series, and various Stella Maris lectures. Their gifts, which have all been given quietly and humbly, have allowed us to continue the important work of helping others encounter Jesus. Through these events we grow not only closer to Him, but closer to each other as well. As a parish family, we can’t thank them enough for their generosity and support.

We still have several sponsorship opportunities available, including the Vigil Project Advent event, a youth ministry intern, and Become Catholic Nights, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know how you would like to help.

St. Bernadette Server Training & Ushers   Interested in becoming a server? There will be a training session at St. Bernadette on October 1st at 7:00pm in the church. Also, St. B’s is in need of more Ushers. If you are interested in answering the call, please contact Kris Fogwell at fogwellhorses@gmail.com. Thank you!

Did you miss Fr. Dorn’s lecture on Holy Angels? Check out our new audio library on the Stella Maris website! It includes recent talks and lectures hosted within the family, and is a wonderful resource for all parishioners.

iVoteCatholic: We are one human family whatever our national, racial, ethnic, economic, and ideological differences. Our love for all our sisters and brothers demands that we promote peace in a world surrounded by violence and conflict.
Solidarity helps us to see the ‘other’ – whether a person, people or nation – not just as some kind of instrument, with a work capacity and physical strength to be exploited at low cost and then discarded when no longer useful, but as our ‘neighbor’, a ‘helper’, to be made a sharer, on a par with ourselves. St. John Paul II, Sollicitudo Rei Socialis, no. 39
To love someone is to desire that person’s good and to take effective steps to secure it… To desire the common good and strive towards it is a requirement of justice and charity. Pope Benedict XVI, Caritas in Veritate, no. 7

The team is happy to welcome Liliana Sierra from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for a presentation followed by discussion.

9 Months with Christ in the Womb

From March 25th to Christmas, we will share the weekly reflections with you to journey together with Christ as he develops in Mary’s womb. These reflections invite us to consider the development of a child in the womb by journeying through Jesus’ own bodily development. The reflections have been provided by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Respect Life Office

Week 28

Mary is feeling a lot of shortness of breath, as Jesus continues to take up more room inside her. She is also experiencing a remarkable level of fetal activity, especially at night. Her little boy is going to be strong, and aptly prepared to learn the family trade of carpentry.  Jesus of the womb, Hear our prayers!
